Our World Famous, Pure Muskoka Pooch

You just never know when the Social Media stars will align. Maybe it’s intuition. Maybe it’s pure luck.

It’s probably a little of both.

Earlier this week I was taking some video our of German Shorthaired Pointer, Otto, and captured a super cute little clip of him standing on his hind legs in the water, waiting for us to throw a rock for him.

Okay, so I should probably explain that Otto is a pretty quirky guy. Unlike other dogs, he has no interest in fetching sticks or balls, in fact he will flat out ignore them when thrown in the lake for him. But when we throw rocks? Well they make the biggest splash! And although we’re not certain, it’s our best guess that it’s the splash that makes rocks so irresistible. The bigger the better!

But I digress.

So, I decided to post this cute little vid on TikTok of our sweet, furry boy. I’m not really sure why. It’s been just about a year since I downloaded the TikTok app, and I’ve enjoyed my time as a lurker, but have rarely been a creator. Before this week I think I had about 2000 combined views on the 5 videos I’d posted. But a few days ago, for some reason, I decided to share Otto’s cuteness with anyone who happened to stumble across it. I’m glad I did!

It just so happened that 2.4 million people “stumbled” across my video in the first 24 hours.

Otto, our Pure Muskoka pooch, is now a viral sensation!

Over the last 4 days we have watched the view count on my video continue to rise, and today as I sit writing this, 9.7 million on my Reloved Creations TikTok have seen it so far. And it continues to rise by the second!. Over 10 million people have seen it on Memezar's TikTok and another 1.7 million on @houseofhighlights Instagram. He's also got over 30,000 comments on Woof Woof's post

We have been contacted by numerous companies and content distribution agencies and decided to sign a licensing agreement to help manage the onslaught of requests.

It has only been 4 days, but so far we’re glad we did. We caught wind that Otto’s video appeared on a British talk show called Loose Women on Thursday. He was also featured on Daily Mail out of the UK  and many other social media hot spots on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and of course, TikTok.

It has been a whirlwind of a week, to say the least. We are all very excited that our dog is an International celebrity!

Otto - He's Famous

As for Otto? Well, he is as humble as ever and happy to keep living his simple life on Lake Muskoka, chasing rocks, running through the woods and going for boat rides.
