LOCATIONS REVEALED BELOW
Every December for 12 days (starting on Christmas Day), we hide a gift somewhere in Muskoka. No coordinates, no hints (beyond the photo we share), and the first person to find it gets to keep it.
This year marked the 5th year of our 12 Days of Christmas Gift Hunt, and somehow, it still felt just as exciting as the first time we tucked a gift behind a snowbank and waited to see what would happen.
Once again, this year was a blast.
Each day, we wrapped up a gift full of goodies and headed out...From Bala to Huntsville and everywhere in between. It was a lot of ground to cover, and we tried our best to spread things out so as many corners of Muskoka felt included as possible.
It got us out during the holidays and gave us a reason to move around the region. We usually started by choosing a town or area we hadn’t covered yet, or one that lined up with other errands or obligations we already had that day.
Once we found a spot that felt right, we placed the gift, took a photo, and shared it with all of you. We tried not to be seen. Once it was placed, we drove away.
That’s where you came in.
You recognized the locations, grabbed your winter gear, left your cozy homes or cottages (some even left work), maybe brushed the snow off your cars, and battled the winter weather to get there in time.
All because of a photo and a feeling (and free stuff 😉).
And somehow, every single time, the gift only lasted about ten minutes before it was found.
It still blows our minds!

They All Lasted about 10 Minutes
The only way we ever know who found the gift is when someone posts about it or sends us an email. And honestly, that’s our favourite part. Seeing those photos come in….Faces flushed from the cold, gift in hand….It never gets old!
We’ve always wondered what would happen if two people arrived at the exact same time. Last year in Bracebridge, we found out. Two people showed up together, took a photo, opened the gift side by side, and split everything evenly.
What more can we say about that? That’s what it’s all about.
We started out just wanting to do something fun and different over the holidays. To get outside and spread some joy around. It happened that first year, and then it just stuck.
Five years in, it feels less like a campaign and more like a shared experience. Something we all look forward to once a year.
Thank You to Our Community
Thank you for chasing it.
For sending photos.
For leaving kind comments.
For turning a winter day into a small story you’ll probably remember longer than the gift itself.
And finally, we’ll do this all again next December. ❤️
