Cozy Cottage Candles

White cedar. Sandalwood. Cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, mandarin leaf at the back.

The inside of a cottage that's been heated for hours. A fire going since lunch and a kitchen making something with butter and sugar.

Light it when November won't quit.

Let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar before you blow it out. Usually 2 to 3 hours for the 10oz, longer for the bigger jars. Soy wax pools forgivingly, but if you don't get a full melt on the first burn, the candle can tunnel down the middle and waste most of the wax.

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each light. Cleaner burn, less smoke, longer life.

Keep it out of drafts and away from kids and pets. Don't leave it burning unattended. Stop burning when there's about 1cm of wax left at the bottom.
