Explore over 35 km of groomed cross-country ski trails and hundreds of kilometres of snowshoe-friendly paths at Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve near Huntsville. This public-access wilderness retreat offers free entry, limited rentals, and a peaceful winter escape through Muskoka’s pristine forests.

4. Cranberry Ice Trail Skating at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery

Skate a 1.2 km loop through cranberry beds and forest at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery. On Saturday nights, the trail is illuminated by 400 tiki torches for a magical winter glow. Warm up afterward with mulled wine or hot cran-apple cider, or explore the farm’s snowshoe trails, wine tastings, and cozy fireside snacks.

5. Winter Festivals: Gravenhurst Winter Carnival & Dorset Snowball 

Celebrate winter with Dorset Snowball and Gravenhurst Winter Carnival:
